  1.                      SHORT NOTES TO ACCOMPANY CC WORLD

  3.                       (A 1992 WORLD FACT BOOK READER)

  6. Can Run off 2 x 1.2MB floppies:
  7.     Just unzip CCWORLD1.ZIP onto #1
  8.         and    CCWORLD2.ZIP onto #2
  9.     Leave the write protects off the first time you run to enable the program
  10.     to write the empty files WORLDL-Z.TXT and WORLDA-K.TXT on disks #1 and #2
  11.     respectively.

  13. Can Run off Hard Disk:
  14.     Just unzip both CCWORLD1.ZIP and CCWORLD2.ZIP 
  15.         into a convenient directory on disk
  16.  
  17. CCWORLD1.ZIP contains:
  18.         README.1ST      -       This File
  19.         WORLDA-K.TXT    -       One half of data
  20.         CCWORLD.EXE     -       The 1992 World Fact Book Reader 
  21.         GUTENBER.TXT    -       The header to the Gutenberg Release of the
  22.                                 1992 World Fact Book Reader (support them too)
  23.         NOTESETC.TXT    -       Explanatory notes to many of the terms used
  24.                                              in the fact book
  25. CCWORLD2.ZIP contains:
  26.         README.1ST      -       This File
  27.         WORLDL-Z.TXT    -       Other half of data
  28.         APP-ABDE.TXT    -       All the Appendices of the 1992 World Fact Book
  29.                                      except Appendix C - sorry no room!

  31. Use the <Up>/<Down> cursor keys to select an item to view.
  32. Use <Enter> to move down to the next level of selection.
  33. Use <Esc> to move back one level of selection
  34.  
  35. A letter of the alphabet jumps to the first country starting with that letter.

  37. All the TXT files are readable by a normal file viewer - if you wish.
